Several clubs in the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League (PSERSL) are already laying the groundwork for the upcoming season with player trials, coaching movements and new entrants dominating the football grapevine.

Bikita Minerals Football Club, Tenax Correctional Services FC, Deportivo La Murambinda, and Masvingo United FC are all conducting player trials starting from Monday this week, as teams move to strengthen their squads ahead of competitive action.
In the Eastern Region, newly promoted side African Mineral Ventures (AMV) FC, based in Rusape, has also opened its doors for trials. The sessions have attracted significant attention, with several former Premier Soccer League (PSL) players reportedly spotted among the hopefuls, signalling the club’s strong ambitions ahead of its debut campaign.
FC Wangu Mazodze have concluded their trials with the technical team now believed to be assessing performances ahead of final squad selections.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Tenax CS FC has parted ways with head coach Madombi, although the club is yet to release an official statement to confirm the development.
At Great Zimbabwe University FC, silence from management has left students and supporters in shock with growing uncertainty over whether the team will return to Division One football this season.
Rusape-based African Mineral Ventures FC has, however, taken a proactive step by releasing its first official statement, formally introducing the club, its vision and ambitions as it prepares to compete in the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League. The club confirmed that it secured the franchise of Rusununguko High Academy to gain entry into the league.
Adding to the intrigue, former Mutare City head coach Prince Tariferinyika is reportedly finalising a deal to join African Mineral Ventures FC.
Back in Masvingo, both Masvingo United FC and Great Zimbabwe University FC remain quiet on the appointment of their technical teams, leaving supporters speculating on whether the clubs will retain or overhaul their previous coaching staff as the new season approaches.
The Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League is set to kick off on 21 March 2026 with team assessments continuing this week.
