ZVISHAVANE-One of the top private learning institutions in Zvishavane,  Errymaple College has once again demonstrated academic excellence after recording a 100% pass rate in the 2025 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council A-Level, with all 46 students passing all their subjects.

Ashell Ruswa.

The results were confirmed by the school’s Principal, Muneni Mhire, who expressed great satisfaction with the students’ achievements.

“This year’s performance is a reflection of our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and discipline. We are proud of our learners and staff for this outstanding result,” he said.

Of the 46 candidates, 27 are girls and 19 boys.

The feat has maintained the school’s consistent record of high academic standards, as it also achieved a 100% pass rate in 2024.

This year, however saw a notable improvement in the number of students obtaining top grades, according to the principal.

“In 2024, only three students managed to obtain 15 points, while this year, we’ve had students scoring even higher,” said Mr. Mhire.

Three students scored an impressive 20 points in four subjects, while one student attained 19 points, two achieved 18 points and one student earned 16 points.

Among those who sat for three subjects, two students scored 15 points, four attained 14 points, one scored 13 points, another 12 points, and four students achieved 11 points.

The subjects that stood out were Mathematics and Computer Science, which produced the highest number of A grades, reflecting the school’s strong STEM focus.

Mhire attributed the excellent results to several strategies including, early completion of syllabuses, a strong reading culture, access to an e-library and internet for research, one-on-one support for learners, close collaboration among teachers through team teaching, instilling discipline in both candidates and non-candidates

Despite the success, Mhire acknowledged that learners faced the usual exam-related pressure and anxiety.

“These are natural challenges, but through guidance and preparation, our students overcame them.”

As the school now turns its focus to the new academic year, Mhire emphasized the importance of continued support from parents, staff, and stakeholders in building on this success and preparing the current Lower Six for even greater results.
