-raises funds for razed Children’s Home

MASVINGO-Hippo Valley Country Club was a hive of activity as Endless a Brand of Faith successfully hosted a glitz Miss Chiredzi pageant for the first time recently.
Endless a Brand of Faith chief executive officer, Faith Mazana said besides showcasing beauty with brains the pageant event also highlighted sexual abuse and harassment faced by models in the industry which she was campaigning against.
She said they chose Chiredzi since it is one of the marginalized areas in the country and they are trying to uplift the girl child in the district by giving them a platform to showcase their talent.
Paidamoyo Manyanga (21) was the toast of the day as she was crowned Miss Chiredzi ahead of seven other girls who competed for the coveted prize.

Mary Svuure 19 was the First Princess in a tightly contested pageant against other girls vying for the same crown.
Tafadzwa Muchacha (25) was crowned the Second Princess, for their efforts the beautiful girls with brains walked away with cash prizes and other assortments.
“Lowveld at its best a new era has come,” said multi award winning model Blekks Makwara who was the master of ceremony.
Meanwhile, a golf tournament to raise funds for Chiredzi Christian Children’s Village that was destroyed by fire recently was also held concurrently with the beauty pageant.
“The events went well and for golf we had 26 players from Nesbit (N1), Hippo valley, Triangle, Renco and the Children’s village teams and winners for the longest drive were Hippo Valley and Renco and the nearest the pin were N1 and Hippo,” said Mazana.
Mazana thanked all the sponsors and donors of the golf tournament who were N1, Trinity Mutsetse, Farai Makovah, Mr and Mrs Mabika.
There are many other anonymous people who donated lots of linen, towels and library books also the exhibitors were N1, Econet, Dulys, Lions Club and the biggest towing company in the southern region, Thunderun.
