The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe this Saturday will be offering women who did defensive driving in the past years in Masvingo free training lessons.

The free training program is to be held in partnership with Exide Batteries and Amtec Motors who will be offering basic vehicle maintenance at their respective workshops as a way of encouraging women to be good drivers.

Imagine a scenario where you are stranded with a dead car battery somewhere in the dark. What will you do? Either you will look around for someone to help you or you will call a friend or family members, but what if they are not there to help you or there is no network.

This is why the TSCZ together with Amtec Motors and Exide Batteries will be available to train you for the basic areas that you need to know like how to jumpstart a car,  basic maintenance and to ensure the safety of women on the roads.

Here are three safety tricks for you:

  1. Always have an emergency kit for your car.
  2. Learn to jumpstart your car.
  3. Have your car serviced by reputable mechanic regularly.

During this program we will learn how to change a fuse, check fluids, check engine oil and filter, check air filter of your car’s engine, maintain correct tyre pressure, how to change a tyre and most importantly to read the car manual.

Let’s promote safety on the road and safety begins with us.

Defensive driving is not only for men but for all the drivers.
