MASVINGO – Edith Care and Therapy, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating cancer, has announced a series of fundraising events for the establishment of a pioneering cancer treatment center in Masvingo Province.

At the heart of the organization’s mission is a commitment to providing comprehensive cancer awareness and psychosocial support services to those affected by the disease.
The proposed cancer center, which will be the first of its kind in the province, will offer a range of interventions designed to address the emotional and financial toll of cancer on survivors, patients, and their families.
To turn this vision into reality, Edith Care and Therapy has set an ambitious fundraising target of US$150,000.
The organization has planned a series of exciting events to help reach this goal, including, a fundraising dinner on March 3, 2025, at a venue to be announced, a golf tournament on March 21, 2025, at the Masvingo Golf Course and a half marathon on April 13, 2025, with a stopover in Masvingo
According to Tinashe Chatikobo, Director of Edith Care and Therapy, “We are excited to launch this fundraising drive, which will bring us one step closer to making our vision a reality.
“We urge everyone to support us in this endeavor, as every contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.”
By supporting Edith Care and Therapy’s fundraising efforts, individuals and organizations can play a vital role in helping to combat cancer and improve the lives of those affected by the disease.
In addition the director said, “as the organization embarks on this ambitious journey, one thing is clear, with the support of the community, Edith Care and Therapy can make a real difference in the fight against cancer.”
