MASVINGO –Prominent events director (ED) and school teacher, David DJ Masomere has taken delivery of a brand new Toyota D4D from controversial businessman, Wicknell Chivhayo for helping Zanu PF win the 2023 harmonised elections.
David who is young brother to multi award winning soccer coach, Luke Vahombe Masomere was the master of ceremony at most of President Mnangagwa’s countrywide campaign rallies.
He shares the same Shumba totem with President Mnangagwa and the rallies drew not less than 100 000 supporters each in the 10 provinces that he held campaigns in the run up to the 2023 harmonised elections that he won by 52.6% compared to his closest nemesis, Nelson Chamisa of CCC who garnered 44%.
DJ Masomere is a teacher at the award winning Ndarama High and he rose to fame through his cross border retail business and events directing at most organisations in the ancient city and Chivi District where he hails from.
Last week DJ Msomere got a brand new top of the range, Holland Tractor, 20hectare farm in Chiredzi and 8 heifers from President Mnangagwa as a token of appreciation for his dedication to duty during the campaign period which was characterized by long weeks away from family and business.
President Mnangagwa was celebrating his 81st birthday when he donated the goodies to DJ.
Masomere told The Midweek Watch that he is very grateful for what is coming his way which is a clear testimony of his hard working in the revolutionary party especially during the just ended harmonised elections.
DJ’s household property was recently attached by Meldnwin Tech Investments for failure to pay for the hired PA System used at President Mnangagwa’s campaign rallies.
