CHIPINGE-A woman regrets taking her dumb infant to a faith healer to make him talk as he died after taking a strong concoction.
Memory Gijimana (27) of Chingwekwe Village under Chief Ngorima in Chimanimani took Jayden Taruwona who was born dump to Prisca Chizekani (68) of Gaza in Chipinge a faith healer.
Chizekani instructed Gijimana to buy six raw eggs, six bottles of fresh milk, bicarbonate of soda, 750ml of cooking oil and a 750ml bottle of vinegar and went on to mix them and made Jayden to drink half a cup.
The faith healer immediately took a stick and put it inside Jayden’s mouth as part of the healing process to make him talk, unfortunately the infant started having convulsions and died on the spot.
A report was made to the police who took the body to Chipinge Hospital for a post mortem and investigations are still underway.
Chizekani has a practicing identification card under Luke Apostolic Church Ejiwel Jekenisheni with a membership number, Manicaland Province acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka told The Midweek Watch.
