The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZAAC)… Is it serving any purpose?
ZACC was ‘rejuvinated’ in 2018, and Zimbabweans were excited because they thought the second republic meant business.
Its mandate was to fight high corruption cases in the country.
Till to date the commission appears to delve into matters which are outside their jurisdictions. This time it’s fighting fraudulent cases, the next time it is after suspected smugglers. These cases are not corruption cases, they are other better specialized units to deal with such cases within the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
ZAAC, must deal with what it was formed to deal with “white collar corruption in high places.” You know them you guys but you lack the guts to tackle them. To make youselves relevant you just publicize some minor cases, which you also fail to prosecute in courts of law. Zimbabweans are no longer following you guys. Just keep on digging one day you wanna find diamond.
