MASVINGO- Zimbabwe’s major dams are currently at an average capacity of 91.1 percent full, Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) confirmed in a statement.
“Zimbabwe’s national dam storage average now stands at 91.1%, with several major dams at or near full capacity following continued rainfall activity.
“This positive outlook supports domestic supply, agriculture, and industrial water needs across the country,” reads part of the statement in possession of The Midweek Watch.
According to ZINWA, as at 23 February the country’s largest inland water body, Lake Tugwi Mukosi was at 100 percent, Lake Mutirikwi 100 percent, Manyame, 82,5 percent, Osborne, 71.7 percent, Mazvikadeyi, 67.2 Manyuchi, 99.5 percent, Manjirenji, 91.9 percent, Sebakwe, 93.6 percent, Chivero, 78.3 percent, Insiza, 51.7 Zvovhe, 100 percent, Siya , 100 percent and Inyankuni, 19.9 percent.
