GWERU- The football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the death of Chapungu FC head coach, Tawanda Marimo on Monday.

Marimo died at Gweru General Hospital after a short illness.
The Chapungu FC public relations officer, Kennedy Khombo told The Midweek Watch that the club has been robbed of a tactician and a mentor.
“We are deeply saddened to confirm the untimely passing of Coach Tawanda Marimo,” Khombo said in a statement.
“He was a pillar of strength, a mentor, leader and a tactician who dedicated his life to the Waru Waru family.”
Marimo, whose death has sent shockwaves through the Zimbabwean football community, was remembered for his unwavering commitment and passion for the most beautiful game.
The cause of his death was not disclosed, while funeral and burial arrangements will be announced in due course, Khombo said.
