GUTU-Famboyant business mogul and politician, Philip Chiyangwa has donated a solar- powered borehole and Starlink kit to Maungwa High School in Gutu South Constituency.

Chiyangwa made the donation announcement at a Teachers 4ED gathering held at the school on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Chiyangwa said the donated Starlink kit was meant to ensure that pupils adapt to changing technology while the solar powered borehole will go a long way in unlocking the school’s agricultural potentials.
“I heard that this school is one of the best performing schools in the district. I felt inspired to do something for this school and I believe this will put the school on the world educational map and ensure that our pupils become part of today’s technologically empowered youth,” he said.
In his remarks, school Headmaster Jameson Mundanga expressed gratitude for the generous gesture.
“I would like to thank Hon Dr Philip Chiyangwa for the donation made to Maungwa High School and for remembering the less privileged communities.
“I also want to thank him for coming down this far together with his team to be part of this event .The starlink donation will go a long way in promoting the current system which embraces digital technology,” he said.
Speaking at the same event, Gutu South Member of Parliament Pupurai Togarepi urged Teachers 4ED to take up residential stands offered by Pinnacle Land Developers which are affordable and flexible payment terms.
“I encourage every member of this affiliate to take up these residential stands because they are very affordable. Remember we will retire one day and because of that, we need to have asserts in our names as a fall back position,” he said.
