Chiwenga advocating for brothers to be called sisters-Makandiwa

Date:

A letter reportedly associated with Emmanuel Makandiwa’s circle has emerged, sparking heated discussions due to its sharp critique of Talent Chiwenga.

Emmanuel Makandiwa and Talent Chiwenga.

Although it remains uncertain whether the letter was penned directly by Makandiwa, its contents have sent ripples through the religious community with pointed allegations against Chiwenga’s teachings, character, and personal life.

The document, written under Makandiwa’s name, accuses Chiwenga of fabricating stories about assassination attempts, promoting questionable theological ideas, and misrepresenting himself as a genuine servant of God.

It further suggests that Chiwenga may be dealing with mental health challenges while also questioning his credibility and theological education.

One particularly contentious segment of the letter alleges that Chiwenga holds controversial views on marriage and sexuality, including claims that he supports relationships within close family ties and endorses practices that contradict mainstream Christian values.

The letter also accuses him of manipulating his followers while living a lifestyle inconsistent with his teachings.

“Why is it that even ZANU PF and the politicians you insult daily have not taken your life, contrary to the lies you propagate?” the letter questions, dismissing Chiwenga’s frequent claims of being targeted by the government.

It also brings up his history of car accidents, suggesting they stem from reckless driving rather than deliberate attacks.

In a mocking tone, the letter takes aim at Chiwenga’s alleged teachings on gender identity, sarcastically proposing that his followers might start referring to their daughters as “brothers.”

It further criticises his leadership, claiming his ministry focuses more on attacking others than on spreading the gospel.

Chiwenga, well-known for his bold critiques of Zimbabwean religious leaders, including Magaya and Makandiwa, often accuses them of exploiting their followers for financial benefit.

While he has yet to officially respond to the letter, his track record suggests a fiery counterstatement may be imminent.

The letter has already ignited debates among religious and social commentators. Some view it as an attempt to discredit and silence Chiwenga, while others interpret it as a long-awaited response from Makandiwa’s supporters.

Whether the letter is genuine or a calculated move by those aligned with Makandiwa remains uncertain. However, it is evident that the rivalry between these two prominent figures in Zimbabwe’s religious scene remains unabated
