CHIVHU-Artists from the farming town OF Chivhu held an unforgettable Heroes and Defence Forces bash where they showcased their talents before a packed audience that was kept on their toes as the youthful performers dished OUT hit after hit throughout the night.
“We held a Heroes Day musical gala on Monday last week at Maschim Shopping Centre (aka Gaza) from 4pm till the last fan left the venue the following morning.
“The fans loved it and were calling for more and more but due to circumstances beyond our control we could not continue.
“Over 1000 fans thronged the open space including children and families because the venue was conducive for all types of audiences,” said Garikayi Mpatsi one of the gala organisers.
Chivhu local musicians like Washer Vibes, Gari B M, Sir Prakah, Dodzo D, Queen Shine, Killer Vibes, Starman, Mikela, Mad Killer Sonics, Jaah Kidi, Junior Flavour and D Jayz among others.
“The main purpose of the gala was to remember the Heroes that fought for our freedom (Zimbabwe) through music and dance from the local artists
“The historic gala was organised by Top Flight Entertainment, Bright Star Media and TFC Art Chivhu,” said Mpatsi.
A number of local companies supported the gala through cash and kind and they also pledged to continue to come together for future events like drug awareness shows by youth from the town.
“We would like to pay tribute to companies and individuals like Mr Mukuchura, Maschim, Cross-roads, Chandang, Boss Kundisi, TFC Arts, Bright Star, Top Flight and Mr Muzana for their unwavering for the Chivhu upcoming artists.
“We encourage more and more individuals and business people to continue to land a helping hand to local artists so that they grow to become big nationally and internationally.
“Our special thanks go to the community for being always there for their artists, they are the reason why we are doing what we are doing. We promise them better and bigger shows in future,” he added.
