The festival showcased China’s rich cinematic heritage, featuring four films with a combined box office revenue of over $7.3 billion in China.
The films screened included “Panda Plan,” an action-comedy blending martial arts with animal conservation themes; “Hot and Spicy,” an uplifting underdog story; “The Chinese Pilot,” a gripping true story of aviation crisis; and “Operation Red Sea,” a high-stakes counter-terrorism mission.
According to Ambassador Zhou, the festival served as a platform to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe. He emphasized the strong bond between the two nations, highlighting people-to-people connections, cultural exchange programs, and cooperation across various sectors.
The celebration included a range of cultural events, such as a friendship-themed photo exhibition, an essay contest, an academic symposium, and basketball and table tennis matches. This milestone demonstrates the commitment to mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe.
