-female passenger sustains broken legs
MASVINGO CITY-Chicken Inn Masvingo operations manager, Itai Timburwa has been involved in an accident at the 294km peg along Harare Road and a passenger identified as Maybe sustained broken legs.
Masvingo Province police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa told The Midweek Watch that the horrific accident happened at around 3am and the lady is admitted at Masvingo Provincial Hospital.
“The accident happened on June 22, 2024 at around 3am involving an NP300 Nissan which was being driven by Itai Timburwa in the company of a female passenger.
“The driver lost control of the vehicle due to negligent driving and it veered off the road,” said Dhewa.
The NP300 was taken to the Vehicle Examination Department for routine checks.
Meanwhile, The Midweek Watch is in possession of whatsapp chats from one of the groups where Maybe’s friends are appealing for help to enable her to meet hospital bills and other expenses.
