MASVINGO-The Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Masvingo Chapter hosted its prestigious 2025 Annual Business Awards Dinner on Friday 31st of October 2025 at Urban Lifestyles Hotel, bringing together business leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs and stakeholders to celebrate outstanding achievements in the province’s business sector.

In his welcome remarks, ZNCC Masvingo Chapter Chairperson Andrew Chekani, who is also the Director of N. Richards & Company Southern Region applauded the spirit of unity and collaboration witnessed at the event.
He highlighted that the dinner was a testament to the power of strong partnerships between the private and public sectors in driving economic growth.
The event ran under the theme, ‘Unlocking Business Potential Through Policy, Partnerships and Productivity’, which Chekani described as a timely reminder of the three key pillars for transforming Zimbabwe’s economy.
The annual awards dinner continues to be a key event in the province’s business calendar, recognizing innovation, resilience, and leadership in the local economy.
“Sound policy builds investor confidence, partnerships foster innovation and productivity is the engine of competitiveness,” he said.
“As ZNCC, we are committed to championing these pillars to ensure that the private sector plays its rightful role in shaping the future of Masvingo and Zimbabwe at large.”
Chekani appreciated the diverse attendance at the event which included representatives from sectors such as mining, agriculture, academia, tourism, retail, construction, hospitality, security, motor industry, manufacturing, local authorities and the arts.
Notably, Kyle College students were also present showcasing their musical talents and representing the youth and education sectors in a night of celebration.
He further emphasised ZNCC’s inclusive and non-partisan stance, stating, “ZNCC is apolitical, we are the voice of business and we welcome all sectors. The blending of the public and private sector demonstrates the potential we have when we work together.”
Chekani closed his address by commending the sponsors, partners and organising committee for ensuring the success of the awards dinner and congratulated the nominees and winners for their hard work and commitment to excellence.
