Chapungu sack head coach, Zuze

GWERU-Gweru based Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League Division 1 outfit, Chapungu FC have parted ways with their head coach, Clemence Zuze

The team’s public relations manager, Kennedy Khombo confirmed the news to The Midweek Watch today (28/06/23).

“Chapungu Football Club wishes to advise esteemed members of the press and all valued stakeholders that we have parted ways with the head coach Zuze.

“The head coach’s departure from the team’s technical set up is part of a restructuring exercise aimed at reviving the club’s chances of winning and gain promotion to play in the country’s top flight football league.

“The club would like to express its profound gratitude to the outgoing head coach for his dedicated service to the team and wish him well in his future endeavours.” reads part of the statement in our possession.

The Club has since confirmed the appointment of first assistant coach, Tawanda Marimo as interim head coach.
