MASVINGO-Chagwiza Primary School in Gutu South, under the leadership of Head Tobaiwa Musendekwa, has recorded outstanding results in the 2025 Grade 7 ZIMSEC examinations, improving its performance by 12% from last year.

In 2024 Chagwiza found deep in the rural areas had a pass rate of 38% and this has jumped to 50% this year.
Musendekwa attributed the school’s success to the collective efforts of teachers, pupils, and parents, Tariro Chatikobo the grade 7 teacher, who has been instrumental in raising the school’s academic standards.
“We are proud of our achievements, and we will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our school activities,” he said.
Musendekwa, noted that the school recorded a notable achievement of 50% with highest pupils scoring 7 points, compared to 38 % last year.
“This is a remarkable improvement, and we are proud of our pupils’ performance, Chatikobo’s efforts together with the parents have been outstanding, and we are grateful for her dedication to our school,” said Musendekwa.
Chagwiza Primary School is located in the heart of Gutu South, under the administration of Chief Gutu. The school’s outstanding performance is a reflection of the community’s obligation to education and academic merit.
