MASVINGO-For the second time on the bounce, Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Ruvai Chadzamira was adjudged the Best Minister at this year’s edition of the 2025 Performance Evaluation ceremony.

The 2025 Performance Evaluation and Signing Ceremony of Performance Contracts which was presided over by President Mnangagwa was held at the Harare International Conference Centre today where Masvingo Province had five senior officials scooping awards.
Minister Chadzamira won the award for 2024 last year in the Ministers of State category.

Multi award winning Barbara Rwodzi, the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry was named Best Performing Cabinet Minister while Anxious Masuka the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development scooped the Second Best Cabinet Minister award.
Recently Rwodzi won the Best Tourism Minister of the Year (Africa) at the ITB Berlin 2026 while Zimbabwe was named the Best Destination in the World by Forbes in 2025 all through her efforts to market the nation.

In the permanent secretaries category under, Professor Obert Jiri Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Agriculture, was named Best Performing Permanent Secretary.

Dr. Addmore Pazvakavambwa, Permanent Secretary for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, scooped the Best Performing Provincial Permanent Secretary under devolution having been named Best Performing Permanent Secretary last year.

Alec Tabe, Mayor of Masvingo City scooped the Best Mayor award in the country.

Chivi Rural District Council was named runner in the Best Performing Rural District Council Chief Executive Officer.
Chiredzi Town Council was adjudged the third best in the urban council and the award was received by new Town Secretary Engineer Melsen Masukume at the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Misheck Mugadza, the Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution was named Second Best Performing Minister of State.

Blessing Chafesuka, Mutare City Town Clerk scooped the Best Performing Town Clerk award while Tariro Matavire, Chief Executive Officer of
