Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Ruvai Chadzamira, has emerged as the Overall Best Performing Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution at the event held today, 24 March at State House in Harare.

This prestigious award was announced at the Performance Contracts Signing and Awards Ceremony for Ministers and Heads of Public Agencies held today which was presided over by President Mnangagwa.

The awards and performance contract signing are in their second year running and are to assess progress, competence, and leadership among senior government officials.

Chadzamira’s outstanding performance was recognised after overseeing a number of developmental initiatives in the province including a shoot in wheat production, rehabilitation and setting up of irrigation schemes across the province among them Bwanya in Chivi and rehabilitation of roads just to mention but a few.

Matabeleland South Province’s Minister of State Evelyn Ndlovu was adjudged the first runner-up.

Meanwhile, Dr Addmore Pazvakavambwa, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, has been honoured as the overall best performer in the Provincial Affairs and Devolution secretary’s category. This recognition reflects his steadfast commitment to advancing devolution and driving sustainable development in Masvingo Province.
