ZVISHAVANE – The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League is set to commence today with newbies Scottland FC taking on returnees Triangle United FC.
Well funded Scottland has been making all the headlines during the preseason with the acquisition of skillful midfielder Khama Billiat and Castle Lager soccer star of the year Walter Musona.
Meanwhile, their opponents today have been doing their business quietly from the glare of the media under the tutelage of Luke ‘Vahombe’ Masomere who guided them back into the Premier League last season.
He faces a familiar foe in the form of Tonderai Ndiraya who is considered to be the favorite to win the battle on paper, however, deep down he is aware of the potential threat posed by Masomere.
This will be the first time the clubs meet having avoided each other in the Champions of Champs that was played during the preseason.
Masomere is a well respected coach especially during his stints with Shabanie Mine FC, Dynamos FC just to mention a few.
The game is set to kick off at Rufaro Stadium today (Friday, 28 February 2025) at 3pm.
