MWENEZI-As part of its corporate social responsibility, Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC) donated a consignment of equipment to Neshuro Hospital on 19 November.

The consignment which included hundred mattresses, fifty blankets, fifteen beds, thirty three bed tables, ten benches and twenty nine bed hands was handed over to Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira by Collete Sayi , BVC community education engagement manager on the sidelines of Mwenezi district all stakeholders meeting.
Minister Chadzamira welcomed the donation from Bubye Valley Conservancy, highlighting that Government and the private sector partnership was critical in ensuring development, “l would like to acknowledge this donation by BVC, which is in sync with what the Government expects from companies, they have to contribute to the communities they operate in through corporate social responsibility ” acknowledged Chadzamira who went on to challenge other companies operating in Mwenezi to follow suit.
“I challenge other companies operating in Mwenezi to emulate what has been done by BVC, as they contribute to the development of the communities they operate in .” challenged Hon Chadzamira.
Angela Chikondo, district health services administrator, hailed the donation by BVC stating that it was going to go a long way in facilitating smooth delivery of health care, “On behalf of the Management, l am grateful to BVC for sparing a thought and supporting Neshuro Hospital, with this much needed equipment,” stated Chikondo.
Sayi highlighted a number of projects which BVC is partaking as part of its corporate social responsibility. “Hon Minister, apart from this donation to Neshuro, BVC has also donated to Chirindi, Mlelezi, Marinda, Boterere, Munyamani and Mazetese clinics in an effort to promote a quality health delivery system.” shared Sayi
BVC, which has good cordial relationship with Bulawayo Eye Institute and Morgenster Eye Unit has also facilitated eye screening and surgeries for villagers in communities it serves. “As BVC we invest massively in the wellbeing of people in areas we operate from, hence we have facilitated the eye assessment program, which has benefited hundreds of people, Chief Negari and Headman Ruvengo being some of the beneficiaries” shared Sayi.
On the educational front BVC is supporting the education of less privileged learners by paying their school fees and providing them with stationary.” BVC prioritizes education, for it is a vital cog in developing communities, as such we give a hand to the less privileged learners,” said Sayi.
