Brothers stone villager to death on Christmas day.

ZAKA- A 27 year old Zaka man who had one too many on Christmas day went on to accuse a fellow imbiber of sleeping with married women in the village was later allegedly stoned to death for his utterances.
Masvingo Provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the death of Tabani Moyo of Village Makote under Chief Bota in Zaka.
Dhewa told The Midweek Watch that on Christmas day the now deceased was drinking beer in the company of his brother, Thulani Moyo at Dekeza Business Center.
After consuming too much alcohol, Inspector Dhewa said the now deceased approached one Gibson Manyandure who was also drinking beer with his brother ,Tafadzwa (29) at the same business center.
“Thabani approached Gibson and accused him of dating his mother before he pulled a catapult which he used to assault Gibson several times.
” However this did not go down well with Tafadzwa who reacted to the scuffle and used stones to strike Thabani resulting in him bleeding profusely and lost conscious,” Inspector Dhewa said.
He said 30 minutes later Thabani had not regained his consciousness and was ferried to Musiso Hospital where he was immediately transferred to Masvingo Provincial Hospital as he had sustained a deep cut on his head.
“His condition continued to deteriorate and was further taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital in Harare for specialised treatment.
“Unfortunately, he lost his life on 31 December in Harare due to the injuries he had sustained,” added Inspector Dhewa.
A police report was made on 27 December and Inspector Dhewa said no arrests have been made so far as investigations are still in progress.
