MASVINGO CITY-POPULAR Masvingo City Council employee in the health department and Sisk Business Centre based socialite Vimbanashe Mangwana has died.
Vimbanashe who was popularly known as Vimbai died at Makurira Memorial Clinic on Wednesday night.
She was 29.
The sad news was confirmed by one of her former workmate and friend who went to check on her this morning at Makurira Memorial Clinic where she was admitted since Monday.
Vimbai was working in the health department sweeping the streets and was known for her booming hoarse voice.
She was now staying in Rujeko but used to drink at Sisk Shopping Centre and Majange in Mucheke and would get along with many people.
Mourners are gathered at 7276 Dzvinyu Street Rujeko B in Masvingo City.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved colleague, Vimbainashe Mangwana. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family and all those who loved and cherished her.
Vimbai was an invaluable member of our team, and her contributions to City of Masvingo will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with her,” reads a statement from City of Masvingo.
