There is a Shona adage which says “chingoma chiririse chaapedyo kubvaruka” and this aptly describes the bahaviour of Mberengwa District’s Chief Bvute who has allegedly developed a penchant for snatching married women, unfortunately this time the deed has caught up with him.
Chief Bvute, born Andrew Bvute has blood in his hands as a married man allegedly committed suicide and left a letter stating that the former was having an affair with his wife.
Sources told The Midweek Watch that the matter is already before Chief Mapiravana, but unfortunately the tormented man couldn’t wait for the verdict and decided to end his own life and allow the two to continue enjoying the forbidden fruit while he is with his maker.
In February 2023, Chief Bvute was brought before a traditional court for taking Biggy Munyesegwa’s wife and he was convicted and ordered to pay 3 beasts which he paid US$200 in cash each through the District Development Coordinator’s office (see picture).
