Popular Roman Catholic Church Priest who is known for his humorous sermons, Peter Mudhanganyi has died.
The Midweek Watch is in possession of a statement issued by the Catholic Church confirming the death of Father Mudhanganyi.
“To the priestly fraternity , religious and the laity,
With a heavy heart, I share the news of the passing of our beloved Rev. Fr. Peter Mudhanganyi. He collapsed during Mass this morning and was rushed to the nearest clinic at Mashava, where he was later transferred to 24 Medical Centre, but sadly succumbed to death.
Let us come together in prayer, asking for God’s mercy and strength during this difficult time. May Fr. Peter’s soul rests in eternal peace, and may his love, cheerfulness, compassion, and service bring him to eternal rest.
We offer our condolences to the Mudhanganyi family, Sekuru Mupandasekwa, the Diocese of Masvingo, and the entire Catholic Church. May God comfort and console us all.
