Hiepeg convicted of US$60K fraud

Prominent Masvingo businessman Naison Madyambwa has been found guilty of duping his Australian investor cum lover of US$60 000 in a mining claim deal.
Madyambwa who runs Hiepeg tyre services and other business ventures in and around Masvingo was convicted by Magistrate Elizabeth Hanzi on Thursday.
The businessman will be sentenced on Friday (tomorrow).
In convicting the businessman, Magistrate Hanzi said the state had proved beyond reasonable doubt that the businessman leveraged on the relationship with the Australian based investor Achidaishe Mudzingwa that he was able to secure her a mining claim.
