In an interview with The Midweek Watch, Boika expressed his gratitude to Masvingo businessman Allan Sibanda, who provided sponsorship for the tournament.

“I could not have achieved this without Sibanda’s support, he believed in me and allowed me to display my abilities on this prestigious platform,” he stated.

He also extended his gratitude to Ma’am Paula for her steadfast support during his preparations for the tournament, noting that her guidance and encouragement meant a great deal to him.

Following this victory, Boika’s professional record now stands at 13 wins, 4 losses, and no draws. He began his boxing career at a primary school level and received invaluable assistance from trainers Manyuchi Charles and Clyde Musonda.

Boika’s success positions him favourably for potential title opportunities in the future. He remarked.

“I am eager for further challenges and anticipate my next fight as I strive to establish myself as one of the foremost boxers in Zimbabwe,” he added.

The “Return of Boxing” event also featured a national super bantamweight title fight between Patience Mastara and Sehliselwe Nhliziyo, the latter of whom was absent, in addition to 18 professional graduation bouts.
