MASVINGO-Bishop Emeritus Angelo Floro Martinez I.E.M.E who served in Gokwe from 2000 to 2017 has died, Zimbabwe Catholic Bishop’s Conference confirmed the sad news through a statement in the possession of The Midweek Watch.
The cause and place of death was not indicated and burial arrangements are to be announced in due course.
“ZCBC and the entire Catholic Church in Zimbabwe is very much saddened by Bishop Floro’s sudden death. Bishop Floro was the Bishop of Gokwe from 2000 until 2017 when he retired from active ministry. We pray that Bishop Floro’s soul may find repose in the bosom of God the Father whom he loved and served as pastor and shepherd. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course,” reads part of the statement signed by ZCBC president Paul Horan.
