Bikita security attaché in fatal accident with girlfriend, driving another lover’s car

BIRCHENOUGH-In a bizarre incident that shocked the Birchenough Bridge community, a member of the President’s Office attached to Bikita has been killed in an accident driving a car belonging to his girlfriend while in the company of another.

 The accident that killed the security attaché at the giant lithium miner happened at 1am today at Birchenough Growth Point along Masvingo Mutare Highway while he was coming from Buhera to collect his daughter who is doing form 2 at Pamushana High School in Masvingo.

He died together with his girlfriend on the spot, but The Midweek could not get the condition of the daughter from the sources who confirmed the accident.

Manicaland Province ZRP community liaison and public relations officer, Inspector Nobert Muzondo said he had not heard about the accident when contacted for a comment by The Midweek Watch and suggested that it could have happened on the side of Masvingo Province.

The names of the deceased have been withheld as their next of kin had not been informed by the time of posting the story.

According to the source who confirmed the accident The Midweek Watch the two were traveling from Buhera where they had gone to collect operative’s daughter who is in form 2 at Pamushana High School.

“He had gone to Buhera where he wanted to pick up her daughter who was to go back to school return on Monday May 08. He was driving a Toyota Sienta which belongs to his other girlfriend named Fadzie who is a money changer at Nyika Growth Point. The car crushed on a tree which is opposite a service station at Berchinough Bridge Growth Point,” said the source
