I have always said that I am not an expert on HIV/AIDs issues in the medical sense but I am an expert in living with HIV having done so for more than 30 years.
I have learnt a lot during our Support Group discussions on different topics from 2004 up to date. I have also meditated a lot on issues to do with HIV as well as observing other people living with HIV cope with their conditions. We have several groups of people living with HIV such as those on denial, the bitter and angry, the indifferent, the very sad, the positive minded and each group behaves in its own unique way.
During one of our discussions at a faraway date we discussed on what causes some men to leave their marital bedrooms to go and look for sex outside and in this article I am going to explain what we agreed were some of the reasons.
Men generally are very busy people always engaged in one type of activity to another and when they get home they want love, comfort and rest in large doses. Some men spend their working days doing very risky activities to bring food on the family table. Some of these activities can be either illegal hence very risky and dangerous while others are safe and legal but very demanding and at the end of each day there is need for comfort, love, quality sex and good rest which most wives fail to provide in the marital bedroom hence most men go clandestinely to women who specialize in giving men what they really want though at a financial and health price of course.
Many married women don’t realize that sex has become so cheap in Zimbabwe and maybe throughout the world to a point where any man can get it whenever or wherever he wants it. Most married men don’t know much about their wives’ naked bodies but know their girlfriends’ bodies very much. Prostitutes have perfected the art of seduction and once a man tests their bitter sweet honey it will be very difficult to bring him back home. Lazy, immature, arrogant and thoughtless wives drive their men to prostitutes by their lack of innovation in the marital bedroom.
Sex is a very powerful force which needs to be treated with care as it is the bulwark of every marriage. Most men want quality and satisfying sex with their wives which they can always imagine and look forward to on a daily basis. Wives therefore need to master the art of seduction in order to keep hubby at home after work. It should be every wife’s wish to make sure her husband gets the best sex ever always.
Most men stray to prostitutes and girlfriends because sex at home has become so tired, routine and very dull to say it bluntly. Most men enjoy doing body viewing of their wives but sometimes are denied that wonderful experience because of the wife’s shyness and arrogance. What most wives don’t know is that there are lots of women out there willing to provide their husbands with wonderful body viewing experiences usually ending in juicy sexual acts which will end up killing their appetite for sex at home thus inviting HIV home.
There has never been a time when sex has been so easy and cheap to get especially for men. Children are exposed to sex at very tender ages via social media and naked women are now all over the landscape and it’s very easy for a man to ask to be shown the forbidden fruit at any time and place he so desires even in church no wonder why pastors have fallen. This therefore calls for wives to treat marital sex with lots of respect to avoid inviting HIV home.
