GWERU-The Midlands Show Society has been urged to be innovative and adapt to current trends in order to attract more exhibitors and grow the agricultural show.

This was said by the Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister, Larry Mavhima during the exhibitor’s reception last night.

He said the show society should be responsive to the modern dynamic socio-economic environment in order to remain relevant.

“I want to urge the Midlands Show Society to ensure that the Midlands agricultural show continues to grow. The show society must be able to attract more exhibitors; there is need for more creativity and innovation.

“The show society must continue to grow from strength to strength in order to remain relevant,” he said.

Adding that the resilience and spirit of patriotism by the corporate leadership has led to a positive business trajectory.

“Let me acknowledge and commend the various corporate entities in the province for their sterling contribution to the continued growth of the Midlands economy.

“We continue to witness a positive growth trajectory with more business opening while others are expanding their operations creating new jobs. This is evidence of the resilience and spirit of patriotism by the corporate leadership,” said Minister Mavhima.

Mavhima added that the stabilisation of the economy must be sustained despite the various challenges being experienced.

The Midlands agriculture show this year runs from 21 July to 23.
