Barmlo gifts SA based FB poor couple US$10K house

Date:

Prominent businessman Banabasi Marambire, founder of Barmlo Investments, has pledged to construct a US$10,000 house for a Zimbabwean Facebook couple, Nyathi Gilbert and his wife, residing in South Africa.

In a Facebook post, Banabasi Marambire expressed his intention to build a house for the couple, citing his personal experience of growing up in poverty and understanding the struggles associated with having nothing.

He emphasised that his motivation stems from empathy rather than abundance, as he has firsthand knowledge of extreme poverty.

Confirming that the couple has accepted his generous offer, Marambire stated that he was moved by the content shared by Nyathi Gilbert and his wife on social media.

He reached out to them, offering to build a three-roomed house for them in their home village in Zimbabwe.

Recently, the couple gained widespread attention for their authentic portrayal of their natural lifestyle and journey through marriage and life, emphasising genuine love over material possessions.

Meanwhile, Banabasi Marambire’s upbringing was marked by hardship, growing up as an orphan in Zimbabwe with eight siblings.

Despite facing hunger and malnutrition, he persevered, selling beans, sweet potatoes, and vegetables to provide for his family. At the age of 18, he ventured to Botswana in search of better opportunities, continuing his entrepreneurial endeavors in agriculture.

Today, Marambire is the founder of several successful companies under the Barmlo Group of Companies, specializing in building materials supply, construction, maize milling, food processing, and solar energy supply. His journey from poverty to prosperity serves as an inspiration, driving his commitment to giving back to those in need. online
