Kwekwe- A 26-year-old Kwekwe man lost his Toyota Bubble to robbers he had given a lift on 17 July at around 2am in Mbizo extension, Kwekwe.

Midlands Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has since appealed for information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.

“We are appealing to members of the public who might have seen the stolen motor vehicle to approach any nearest police station” he added.

Circumstance are that the victim was drinking beer at Mbizo 4 shopping centre when he was approached by 4 suspects who hired him to take them to Mbizo 15.

He agreed since he knew some of them as locals. The complainant then decided to pass through his house to collect his jersey.

He drove his motor vehicle and parked it at his gate, disembarked living the key on the ignition.

 One of the suspects who was sitting at the back passenger seat jumped to the driver’s seat and reversed the car whilst the other suspects threatened to stab the complainant with a knife if he got closer.

The suspects drove off leaving the complainant there and the vehicle is valued at US$5 500, registration number ADX 7384.
