In a sad development, a 17-year-old female student at Lord Malvern High School allegedly took her life after compromising pictures of her and a married man were leaked.
Vanessa Chirimhanzi, a Form 3 student, downed rat poison after she fought with a classmate only identified as Loveness.
Loveness leaked Vannesa’s intimate pictures with a married man, to the class WhatsApp group. The two fought over the issue before someone stopped the fight and took them to the school headmaster. The two were punished, but it marked the start of a difficult period for Vanessa. The girl allegedly suffered daily verbal abuse at the school after the incident.
As a way out, she is said to, have downed poison. In an effort to save her, Vanessa was rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital where she unfortunately breathed her last.
