MASVINGO-The Ama2K4ED Masvingo Chapter, the provincial youth affiliate of ZANU PF party, is making waves by channeling the energy and ideas into community development.
Under the leadership of chairperson Samuel P. Chiwara, the chapter is translating the party’s ethos into action for the post-2000 generation.
In an interview with The Midweek watch Chiwara said that Ama2K4ED was founded on the principles of patriotism, discipline, and economic empowerment.
Masvingo chapter has quickly established itself as a dynamic force. Its recent recognition with the Masvingo Achievement Award for Community Engagement Initiatives is a testament to its impactful work.
“We are not just a political structure; we are a launch pad for the future, our mission is to identify, nurture, and empower young talent in Masvingo, providing them with the skills, opportunities, and patriotic grounding needed to contribute to the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and Vision 2030,” said Chiwara.
The chapter’s strategy is two-fold: to build a robust database of young members aged 13-25 years—the voters and leaders of tomorrow—and to implement practical programs that address youth challenges such as unemployment and skills gap.
“We are here to demystify the myth that ZANU-PF is for the old people, ZANU-PF is us, ZANU-PF is the future, the future is us,” Chiwara emphasized.
The Ama2K4ED Masvingo Chapter invites all young people in the province to join, to be part of the solution, and to build a prosperous future for themselves and the nation.
The chapter plans to roll out initiatives focused on digital skills training, entrepreneurship workshops, and vocational guidance, directly responding to President Mnangagwa’s call for youth capacitation.
