All set for thrilling Great Zim Rally

-as more women register

MASVINGO- The stage is set for this year’s Titanium Motor Cycle Great Zimbabwe Rally at the upmarket Liquids Club International on March 22 and 23.

The rally will run under the theme “RIDE INSPIRE #CELEBRATING WOMEN”

This year’s edition which will be held at Club Liquids on March 22 and 23 will see the event celebrating 8 years of motorbiking as a lifestyle that promote Ubuntu through charity outreach and means of leisure.

 Titanium MC is a gathering of bikers and bike enthusiasts from across Africa.

In an interview with the Midweek Watch, Titanium MC president Natasha Mutsvairo said that apart from the funny associated with this event the club is in partnership with Alpha Cottages where they annually visit the orphanage and make donations.

“We are expecting roughly 300 to 400 registrants for this year. They include bikers, pillion, camp followers and people who just want a glimpse of what biking involves at very close range.

 “We are expecting this to be our largest registered attendance to date and we are anticipating a large number of bikers from various countries in Africa.

“The event of this year is filled with activities that include colour run, mass ride to Great Zimbabwe Monuments and much, much more for viewers and fans.

 “We are hosting this rally within the month of March which is the International Women’s month and we are celebrating having the largest number of lady riders attending,” said Mutsvairo.

Club Liquids International director, Jackson Chivhanga said that the event will stretch for two days with an opening of Clash of DJs on Friday night followed by the main event on Saturday which starts in the morning until day end.

“It is going to be huge event like never seen before because we are hosting a regional event, bikers from the Southern part of Africa will be here. It will be a momentous event in the history of biking.

 “On Friday reservations of all the participants will be made and after that there will be a pre-party to be hosted by Liquids as well. The party will start at 7pm on Friday with a Clash of Djs which will include our traditional Djs and few others from Harare,”

“On Saturday part of Shuvai Mahofa Street formerly Hellet Street will be closed from Josiah Tongogara to Leopold Takawira from as early as 8am.

 “There will be a street carnival with food being sold here, Djs will cover change for the rest of the day and beer will be in the club so it is going to be fun.

 “People should bring their children as this will be something exciting for them to watch, it’s a family show not to miss.  I mean this will be a life time experience and my advice is, no one should not miss it,” said the entertainment supremo, aka Jackie.
