MASVINGO-Megafest Masvingo Region business awards are on tomorrow at the newly built spacious Urban Life Events Arena, Clipsham in the evening.
Megafest Holdings chief executive officer, Mercy Matsika told The Midweek Watch that the awards will be held at the new venue for the first time where the event will be one to remember.
Matsika also encouraged people to come early as there are limited places due to an overwhelming response as the awards grow bigger and bigger in the region.
Several categories of businesses and organizations will be honored during the night, getting silver, Gold and Platinum plaques for their efforts and these will culminate into the national finals which will be held in Harare on a date to be advised.
“The Masvingo Region Business awards will be the third for this year after Manicaland and Midlands. We will be celebrating good business practice, celebrating achievements in the region.
“We will be mainly recognising the courage, leadership and creativity of the Masvingo Region. The most brilliant business brains that play a critical role in the growth and sustainability of enterprises and organisations like our local authorities and parastatals,” said Mercy Matsika who has just taken over the reins from Dr Tafadzwa Matsika as the Megafest Holdings CEO.
Last year Noah Marima of Junior Holdings was awarded the Businessman of the Year for Masvingo Region, while Shana Mazorodze of Urban Lifestyle Guest House was the Businesswoman of the Year.
Last Friday the Megafest Midlands Region awards were held in Gweru and three weeks ago they were held in Mutare for the Manicaland Region.
