All ‘A’ level Serima High pupils pass

GUTU-One of the best Roman Catholic Church run schools in Gutu District, Serima High achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in the 2025 Advanced Level examinations, up from 96.8% in 2024.

Of the 73 learners who sat for the Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council A Levels, 63 scored 10 points and above while 12 achieved 15 points or more, comprising six girls and six boys.

The highest score was 25 points, attained by two boys.

School head Ernest Choga told The Midweek Watch that a significant improvement was noted in the sciences subjects.

 In other subjects, learners achieved the following grades; Mathematics 29 A’s, Sociology 13 A’s and 17 B’s, Geography 8 A’s, Accounting 8 A’s, Computer Science  8 A’s and 1 B, Physics  8 A’s and 9 B’s, Chemistry 7 A’s and 8 B’s, Biology 5 A’s and 3 B’s and History  9 A’s and 3 B’s.

Choga expressed his delight at the results saying, “These results are a true reflection of the hard work of both learners and teachers. The improvement from 2024 is outstanding and shows that our dedication is paying off.”
