‎China and Zimbabwe marked a significant milestone in their diplomatic relations with the China Film Festival in Zimbabwe, celebrating 45 years of strong diplomatic ties and cooperation.

The festival showcased China’s rich cinematic heritage, featuring four films with a combined box office revenue of over $7.3 billion in China.

‎

‎The films screened included “Panda Plan,” an action-comedy blending martial arts with animal conservation themes; “Hot and Spicy,” an uplifting underdog story; “The Chinese Pilot,” a gripping true story of aviation crisis; and “Operation Red Sea,” a high-stakes counter-terrorism mission.

‎

‎According to Ambassador Zhou, the festival served as a platform to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe. He emphasized the strong bond between the two nations, highlighting people-to-people connections, cultural exchange programs, and cooperation across various sectors.

‎

‎The celebration included a range of cultural events, such as a friendship-themed photo exhibition, an essay contest, an academic symposium, and basketball and table tennis matches. This milestone demonstrates the commitment to mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe.

‎

‎The ambassador noted that the true strength of the partnership lies in the deep and enduring connections between the peoples of China and Zimbabwe. He highlighted the exchange of cultures, citing the Zimbabwe Stone Sculpture Exhibition in Beijing featuring masterpieces by veteran sculptor Dominic Benhura and other renowned sculptors, as well as Zimbabwean footballers captivating Chinese audiences.
