Sensational music conductor, Tichafa Sinamayi of Rutenga Primary proved to be a genius in music after clinching gold in the National Primary School Heads (NAPH) Mwenezi Inter District Choral competitions.

The competitions held at Rutenga Primary pitted all schools from Mwenezi as they battled out to win the sole ticket to represent district at provincial level.
It is this ticket which Sinamayi and his Rutenga Primary School Choir won after a splendid performance which separated him with his counterpart from Mwenezi West’s Rumbidzai Shonhayi of Shayamavhudzi Primary.
Sinamayi who has doubled his dominance in choral music in Mwenezi after consecutively winning the ticket to represent the district, was on cloud nine as he shared that he is now looking in the future, which is competing at provincial level.
“l am happy about the performance of my choir, our victory is a product of teamwork . l am grateful to the champion head, Tennison Mukapa, parents and teachers for supporting us all the way” said Sinamayi who is now eying to extend his hegemony to the provincial level.
“Conquering at provincial level is the dream, and if God says yes who would say no?,” questioned Sinamayi as he turned philosophical.
Mukapa showered praises on Sinamayi and challenged him and his team to continue flying the school’s flag high. “l am pleased with the young man’s work , He is hard working, l wish him and his team well in their next assignment,” said a contend Mukapa.
Provincial choral music competitions will be held tomorrow at Mucheke Hall where all the seven districts will be represented.
Last year it was Gutu District which won the ticket to represent Masvingo Province at national level. The National competitions are going to be held in Beitbridge, Matebeleland South from 19 to 22 November.
