My book for January 2023 was “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. What an amazing book. The author talks about so many ways to build new habits and eliminate unproductive ones

One of the most remarkable lessons I learned from it is; “Every action you take casts a vote for the kind of person you want to be.

Our daily actions, or habits, affirm our success.” Success is the outcome of daily habits, not another magical transformation

If you have no idea about what’s going on in your life. How to fix your irrelevant issues that take a troll on your mind? How to make the most of 24 hours? Then it might be a perfect time. Your routine demand some changes

These 5 habits are the solution to 90% of your concerns. Start building these simple yet effective habits to live a healthier, wealthier, and more fulfilling life.

Let’s dive in;

1.

Plan your day the night before

Always plan your day the night before. A habit that has the potential to change your life. It is essential to be aware of what you are doing throughout the day to avoid becoming distracted and losing momentum

Planning your day can enable you to organize your tasks and complete what is most crucial to you at the moment

Scheduling or planning out the whole day was not my thing. I would do whatever came my way. 10 years ago I started keeping a journal just for fun! I tend to write all the tasks for the next day just to keep the diary in perfect shape

Guess what? The best thing that happened afterward is that now I have a habit of scheduling my whole day the night before. I know my priorities. I get a clear idea of what to do next because everything is planned out early. An action is just what I need to take next. Instead of wasting time on what to do first

That’s the concept behind scheduling your day. With a clear timeline, you can be productive while keeping the rest untroubled by each of your commitments

Invest in self care

Make the most of self care. Why?

Having some me time would do wonders for your mental and physical health. It boosts mood and self esteem.

Besides that, you manage your stress well and feel energized more than ever

You, believe it or not, are your greatest asset. Above all, we must look after ourselves.

Never underestimate the power of 1 hour. You are the main character in the story and deserve some special treatment

Do at least one thing every day that makes you happy. Whether it be journaling or listening to your favorite song. Meditating, praying, doing some hobbies, or eating a nice meal are all worthwhile. It can be anything and anything that makes you smile

It is the way we think, feel, and respond to certain things.

Self care makes us so much more positive. You overcome your stress and anxiety and manage your fears.

Above all, it brings out your best self

Minimize distractions

In this global era, distraction is too obvious for us.

The moment we start working, our phone blinks. Voila! Fast forward 20 minutes and we forgot what we intended to do.

During the day, distractions consume so much time

Not just a phone. It can be anything and anything. The use of technology, excessive multitasking, poor time management, or unhealthy relationships is all examples.

This leads to poor concentration and productivity, which can harm our personal and professional lives

To avoid this, you must first realize how distracting you are. You can easily get distracted by social media or games. After that, take some time to minimize them to the extent possible. Rather than trouble in your day to day life

Wake up early

Not a morning person? Me too. We suffer from the same disease, my friend. I am not a morning bird at all, but rather a sleep lover. However, training your body to rise earlier than usual is a healthy habit that will pay big rewards.

We all know that the day we wake up late, the world is so much ahead of us. They got 24 hours and we got about 15–18 hours. We can’t see the highlights in it. And that’s the main point

Having a structured start to your day rather than rushing to make up for lost time reduces stress and emotional exhaustion, and boosts productivity

Getting up early lets you finish your morning to do list and create the most efficient daily schedule for the day. Getting out of bed 15–20 minutes early can be a valuable habit. It might not appear to be much, but it is a beginning. Eventually, it will become a success point for you

Read, Read, and Read

My goal for 2023 is to make reading a habit. I struggle with being consistent with anything. In the same way, reading a book every day requires some dedication. It isn’t uncommon for me to be too tired and not in the mood at the same time. Yet, you and me can’t deny the benefits of book reading

Reading is helpful for your wellness. Make time to take a look throughout the day. Reading books is an excellent way of broadening one’s knowledge and boosting an individual’s creativity

It enhances concentration and has a calming effect similar to meditation. Reading before bedtime can also help you sleep better.

Apart from that, books provide practical advice on how to overcome a multitude of difficult situations using actual cases

What should I read?

Begin with books that will motivate you, books that will educate you, or books that you will enjoy reading this summer

And now it’s your turn

I would like you to incorporate these habits into your life.

Do not begin with following all at once. Start by taking baby steps. Go for only one habit. And once you make it a habit start doing other things as per your choice. You would be surprised to see some incredible changes in your life. Eventually, you will put all your life troubles to rest

Above all, your attitude defines your altitude.
