Masvingo – On a joyous Saturday, the Masvingo Catholic Diocese witnessed a momentous occasion as the Rt Rev. Sekuru Raymond Mupandawasekwa, Bishop of the Diocese, ordained four new priests at St. Don Bosco Primary School.

The newly ordained priests, Rev. Frs. Stephen Gogoma, Thaddeus Tawanda, Francis Chikutuma, and Wayne Dziore, were surrounded by their loved ones, friends, and members of the Catholic community from the Diocese, all gathered to celebrate this special day.

In his sermon, Bishop Mupandawasekwa emphasized the vital role of priests in serving the people.

He reminded the newly ordained priests that their duties are not just a job, but a calling that requires diligence and dedication.

“As priests, you have vowed to serve the Lord and His people, may you always remember to do your work with love, compassion and commitment,” said Mupandawasekwa.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as the newly ordained priests accepted their new roles. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in their spiritual journey, and they were eager to begin their ministry, inspired by the bishop’s words.
