GWERU-Four people died whilst 18 escaped with varying injuries when a commuter omnibus (Kombi) with 21 passengers veered off the road and overturned three times before landing on its right side.
National Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the fatal road traffic accident that occurred at the 3Km peg along Hamutyinei Road, Gweru yesterday at around 4pm.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital for post mortem, with the 17 injured victims admitted at the same hospital whilst another victim was referred to Bulawayo United Hospitals for treatment.
