KWEKWE CITY- Police in THE Midlands Province have confirmed a serious road traffic accident where four people escaped with varying injuries after their vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.

The incident occurred in the early hours of 15 July 2023 along the Harare – Bulawayo Road

Midlands Provincial Police spokesman, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has however called for caution on the country’s roads to avoid accidents that are caused by human error.

“We urge the motoring public to observe rules of the road always and to travel at safe speed, in line with prevailing circumstances.” he added.

He told The Midweek Watch that Percy Mukwaturi ( 47) of Amaveni Kwekwe was driving a Toyota Mark X towards Kwekwe City centre, with four passengers on board.

Upon approaching the 215 km peg, he encroached onto the other lane and collided with a bus resulting in the four passengers in the car being injured.
