Ncube was instead ordered to do 560 hours of community service for trying to sell dagga to Bangani Mabikire who turned him on to the Police.

Prosecutor Ali Mutause told the Court that on February 28, 2023 at around 11am and at Blue Star Complex, Mataga Growth Point, Ncube approached Mabikire selling ready to smoke dagga. Mabikire checked the quality of the dagga and told Ncube to wait for him whilst he proceeded home to collect some money.

Mabikire immediately informed the police at ZRP Mataga, who went on to give the later USD$20 to pretend to be  a seerious buyer of the dagga from the accused to be used as exhibit in court.

One cup of dagga was recovered from the informer and Ncube was then searched leading to recovery of 1060grams of dagga. He was immediately arrested and failed to produce a permit or license authorising him to possess the dagga.
