ZVISHAVANE–Police are hunting for three “sperm harvesters” who allegedly abducted a hitch-hiker and forced him to be intimate with two women before they drove away with his semen.
Midlands police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident that occurred on 10 October 2023 around 10pm.
Insp Mahoko said the three suspects boarded in a Toyota Funcargo offered a lift to the complainant at OK supermarket Zvishavane to Sandawana.
Whilst on the way, the driver diverted the route and went along the Drummond Road.
Suddenly, “the two women sitting at the back passenger seat, sprayed the complainant with an unknown substance on the face resulting him falling unconscious,” said Insp Mahoko.
Upon gaining conscious, the complainant found himself in a room with the three suspects.
“One of the female suspects then forced him to take a brown pill,” added Mahoko.
He said the two assailants then took turns to have sexual intercourse with the complainant in the presence of their male counterpart before they harvested semen, tied it in condoms and packed it in a cooler box.
The assailants then searched the complainant’s pockets and took away cash amounting to US$453 and his two sim- cards before spraying him with the same substance to make him fall unconscious.
When the complainant woke up the following morning, the accused persons forced him to take the pill and two women had sexual intercourse with him again.
After the forced sexual act, one of the women assaulted the complainant with a metal object on the head before they drove away.
After he gained conscious the complainant walked about 2 km not knowing where he was going until he managed to find his way at GMB depot in Zvishavane and reported the matter to the police.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Of late, there has been an increase in cases of female rapists and sperm harvesters pouncing on hitch-hikers in the country.
In 2020, the alleged female semen harvesters from Mkoba , Gweru were acquitted by the courts for lake of evidence.
