MVUMA-Two people died whilst four others are being treated with serious injuries after a
Nissan Caravan motor vehicle they were travelling in overturned at the 192 km peg along Harare- Masvingo highway.
The accident occurred yesterday (27/10/25) at about 1145pm.
The deceased were identified as Lincoln Marondedze of Mabvuku, Harare
and a female adult, name withheld as next of kin are yet to be informed.
“Circumstances are that Lincoln Marondedze was driving a Nissan Caravan Motor vehicle along Harare-Masvingo Road, carrying seven passengers. On approaching the 192 kilometre peg, the vehicle veered off the road and overturned,” said Midlands province police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
He said all the injured were rushed to Mvuma Hospital, whilst Marondedze and one female passenger were transferred to Gweru Provincial Hospital but both succumbed to their injuries before reaching Hospital.
Police urged drivers to exercise extreme caution on the road to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
