MIDLANDS -The highly-anticipated Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region Division 1 Soccer League is set to roar into life this weekend, with 18 teams set to participate in the marathon title race.
Thomas Marambanyika, the league’s acting vice chairperson, has confirmed the commencement of the matches on weekend of 6th-7th April.
The league welcomes the returnees Sheasham FC who were relegated from the ZIFA Castle Lager Premier Soccer League last season.
Beitbridge FC, West Nicholson FC, ZRP Gwanda FC, Gokwe North FC, Dinson Mvuma FC and FC Wangu Mazodze will be the new teams in the league.
Buchwa based Black Eagles FC will also make a return to the league after getting promoted from ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2A league. Shark Masters FC also from Gweru will the other team in the league.
